About: People from Dumba talk about the impact of climate change and how they have to adapt to it
Video: Community members - Insightshare
People from Dumba, a village in Malawi, talk about the impact of climate change on their lives and how they adapt to it. The video is from Insightshare, an organisation which uses participatory video as a tool for individuals and groups to act for change.
Community Base Adaptation in Africa (CBAA), an organisation with a learning-by-doing approach, carried out pilot projects to reduce the impacts of climate change on the most vulnerable communities. Working with local partners and national bodies such as the meteorological services, the project researched what people were already doing to adapt to climate change. These communities, with CBAA’s project partners, then identified ways to enhance existing adaptation knowledge and scale up.
