The World Development Movement (WDM) is a UK-based anti-poverty campaigning organisation. Their concern about how severely climate change will impact on many Muslim majority-world countries is shared by Climate Connections.
With a reputation for tackling controversial issues, WDM believes a fairer world is possible if we take action together.
Climate change is increasingly seen as the biggest challenge facing humanity. Yet, while Minority World countries, such as the UK, are responsible for most of the emissions pumped into the atmosphere, it is the communities in the Majority World that are being hit the hardest by climate change.
The WDM's briefing document looks at the disastrous impact climate change may have on Muslim majority countries including Bangladesh, Senegal, Mauritania and Pakistan and suggests how we in the UK can take action towards achieving climate justice.
